viewing SN on an ISDN connection - problems.
At work we have an ISDN conection (no broadband available in this area) that comes onto the peer-to-peer network (small company) through an appropriate router. However, this seems to cause problems when viewing SN. When posting I have to copy what I've written just incase it fails to post and I have to try again, the fonts regularly mess up and revert to the basic IE font. It doesnt happen with any other web sites we use, just SN. Is this something caused by our setup? if so what can I do about it? I've tried plugging my PC directly into the ISDN router but the problem persists.

I'm on exactly the same setup as you at work and i find it virtually unusable. My pages more often and not get timed out and i too suffer with the IE font. My dial up at home is quicker.
PS Its only through luck that i've posted this as everything seems okay for now but in 5 mins it will be same old same old
If you find out what causes it let me know please

Yep, same here I'm afraid. ISDN to dial to my ISP, all other sites are fine.
Viewing SN often IE fails to load the stylesheet (if that is what is used) and I get the default fonts. I also always select all my replies and Ctrl+C before hitting "Post" because 99 times out of 100 I have to do it again as I get a Page can't be found.
Thing is I cannot understand why it would only affect ISDN users, the comms. *should* be irrelevent.
Cheers

It can't be an ISDN connection problem... have you a proxy or soemthing else...
the ISDN connection is simply a data connection, it's no idea what site i.e. data is being passed from it... it is operating only at Layers 1-3 nothing else...
check everything else...
I'd be very intereset in the problem if it were isdn related... being a techie...
see if you can get me the ISDN configs if all else fails... i.e. the equipment and settigns///

Well, I'm using a Cisco 775M ISDN Router, dialing into a Redstone rack at Netcom. Bog standard network connection to the router from my PC. I don't share the ISDN line with anyone. SN is the only site affected by the problems described.
Again, I cannot see it being ISDN.
