Default XP pro reluctant to screen grab.

Hi Guys,

Had a few installs of xp pro, for some reason, I always have problems trying to print screen, which I need to do alot. Normally when I reboot, it works again, but often not for long.

Anyone know why, or is it just another windows quirk to put up with?

Cheers in advance

Something in your pc changed? Keyboard probs? Software remapping the keyboard?

By Print screen, you mean copy the screen to the clipboard by pressing {Prt Sc}?

Jen - thanks for that, very helpfull! LOL.

Nick - no, it's a microscrap wireless keyboard, that could be why, but not there has been no change. This happened before too, I reinstalled fresh about a week ago!

Ah MS wireless keyboard, Have u got a F-key button? On mine u have to turn it either on or off I forget which, to enable the the PRT Screen button amongst other keys. You could always capture with software though. Like in Paintshop Pro if u have that?

I have a MS wireless keyboard the key in question has three sections on it PrtScrn : SysRq and Insert I just press it when on a web page and it goes into the clipboard and I can paste. In word I have to press the F lock key to get it to do insert. Don't know what SysRq is??
