Don't know if this is relevant, but fresh from ntlworld.com

Planned Maintenance w/c 15/03/04

As part of the ongoing project to maintain and upgrade our Broadband network, there is a requirement to carry out work on components which may result in a loss of service for the duration of the work. The following work will be taking place during the week commencing Monday March 15th:

On the morning of Tuesday 16th March between midnight and 6am, the following work will take place:-

Broadband customers in all regions may experience a short loss of service due to weekly network load rebalancing work.

Network load resegmentation work will also result in a loss of connection in the Eastwood, Lincoln, Derby, Waltham Forrest, Leeds, Withington and Mapperly areas.

Network upgrade work will result in a loss of service for customers in the Reading area.

On the morning of Wednesday 17th March between 4am and 6am, the following work will take place:-

Upgrades to the Broadband Plus website will result in customers being unable to access the website.

And finally on the morning of Thursday March 18th between 5am and 6:30am, UBR upgrade work will result in a loss of service for broadband customers in the Stapleford areas.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
