Question Who knows about Linux firewalls?

Been asked to sort out the fire wall on a linux box that we have here to allow access to telnet (sorted that one) & syslog only Anyone know where I should be looking please?

If you've sorted the telnet one I assume you know how to use the interface/config files to change settings.

syslog runs over udp port 514

hope that helps, give us a bit more info if not

The telnet one is easy, that's in the firewall configuration. I have no idea how to sort the syslog one
