Default New motherboard/memory/cpu required????

Girlfriend's pc has gone pop. I assume it's the motherboard as when you switch it on it doesn't even spin up the drives and the monitor doesn't try to come on. No beeps! Tried having the battery out and it made no difference.

Where to get the components? I see deals at places but there's a problem:
Her case is a diddy one, so it needs a "Micro ATX" motherboard.

She currently has an AMD 1.1ghz (about 3yrs old!) so if we can find one to use that great - but if not we need pretty cheap motherboard and memory!

Any solutions?

Andy

Sounds more like the PSU has gone, about £20-30 to fix. Could even be the fuse in the plug

The fans start up! And there is a light on the motherboard.

Sounds fooked then

In that case (excuse the pun) I'd ditch the little case and get a decent sized ATX case, seeing as they can be had for as little as £10. Cramming stuff into a tiny case without really good cooling is never a good thing.

Ebuyer have the best prices, but beware their poor RMA's.
