Default Can someone PLEASE help me with this Outlook Express problem?

I've just had a website put together for my newly formed company. It's been finished and to pick up any mail sent to me I'm useing Outlook Express.
The only thing is I can't log on. Each time I try I get this report. The log on box keeps popping back up each time I confirm it.

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: xxxxxxxxxxx Server: xxxxxxxxxxxx, Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Bad login', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

My web designer has given me the correct password (that I think his server gives him?) but it keeps coming up that it's incorrect.
He's looking into a remedy but I don't think he knows what to do!
Any suggestions, tips, what the problem is?
Thanks,
Andy.

It seems to be a 'known' OE error (see http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...ror+0x800CCC92). The solutions seem a bit noddy, i.e. "check your settings". Try reading a few of those links, and see if you find something useful.

Try typing in your p/w manually, instead of letting OE cache it.

lol @ Microsoft's Knowledge Base article! http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;309216 "Yeah, it's a problem". IK hope your provider does, indeed, have the current Service Pack installed.

Fatman thats a great help. I a least now know it's not me going bonkers. I've gone through all the settings, they are fine. All the same I've sent the microsoft link to my designer, now he can sort it!
