I installed a Seagate Barracuda ATA V 120Gb UDMA100 (ST3120023A) in mine. The original drive was a U series 5 Segate drive, so I stuck with them. Either Seagate or Western Digital are recommended.

Well I bought mine well over a year ago, but they are £75 on EBuyer now (as much as I loathe them )
It does get a little warm, but its never caused me a single problem, even with serious use.

I always use Western Digital drives but IanW recently bought one on my recomendation and it wasn't lockable
I may change it for a 120Gb when ICBA.
Would this do the job at £77
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus9 160GB 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-012-MD)

Or Does it have to be 5400RPM.
Anyone know if these lock?

Not sure if it's lockable or not only issues i've heard, and this is more generalised to higher spin drives is that they may generate more heat, having said that my WD's are 7200
