Got to PC's sharing broadband over a wireless network, both PC's can access the Net via a wireless access point and a router. I want to able to copy data from one PC to the other over the wireless. Both PC's run XP Pro and I'm unsure how to do it, any suggestions.
Cheers,
Leigh

go to the folder or drive that you want to share and right click properties, you will see the sharing tab appear in the proerties box. select share this folder in the tick box.Make sure you right click on the folder or drive itself, not the contens of that folder or drive , if you catch my drift...
You may be best then rebooting the machine on which you have just shared drives or folders.
Then go to the other machine, and click the desktop icon " my network places", within this you will see the icon " add network place" - folow the steps, and browse through till you find the folder or drive you have just shared.
..or something like that...

Check that both PC's are in the same workgroup...
Right click my computer.. go to Properties
go to computer name\ ... make sue they are both on the same network workgroup.
If not hit the change button and change the workgoup name so they match.
When you browse the my network places you will see the other pc, drill down and find the files\folders you have shared.
If you wish you can map the share as a drive...
In Windows Explorer go to Tools\Map Network Drive
Browse or Type in the share name i.e. \\pc2\Mydcocs
Done!

Sorry to hijack this thread - but I have exactly the same problem. BUT the laptop that is wireless belongs to my missus and is a work pc. When I right click on My Computer on the laptop, there is no Network Identification tab where I can check out the name and input the Workgroup.
What can I do? Just ask the administrator to sort it?
