Thought I might have a go at building my own web page so I have enrolled at the local Community College for a Web page design class-beginners level ! The problem is that they use PC's and Microsoft Frontpage as the teaching programme and I use an Apple iMac at home! Are there any Apple users out there that could recommend an apple based design prog' that I could use? I don't mind having to buy one but I only want a basic edition, not a professional jobbie! Are there any that are a free download even ?

Thanks

Claris did one called Claris Home Page I think.

I would perhaps avoid dreamweaver. It is good but I found it very unreliable on my Mac although I was using an older version (3 i think)

Are you concentrating on design/layout or learning HTML?
I would suggest if you are learning HTML to avoid these type of programs.
Get BBEdit, it has some HTML features in it, go to webmonkey.com and learn HTML from the ground up. Better to fully understand what you are doing rather than relying on the HTML being generated by these page layout programs. Depends what level you want to be I guess.
w3schools.com is a good place to look too.
Good Luck.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that.
Not into HTML, just a simple home page, some photo's and text etc
