Just ordered the Xbox with Project Gotham Racing 2. Gonna buy the Xbox live kit but how easy is it to hook up to my ADSL connection?

I run PIPEX adsl via a USB ADSL modem. However I have two NIC's in my PC from my NTL cable days. Can I just share the ADSL dialup connection and then hook a cable between NIC and Xbox? And it will be a crossover cable?

An Ethernet card in your PC and a cross over cable works fine.

What OS you running on the PC?

Dave,

Does XBox Live work with ICS or does it need a routed connection between NIC and USB?

I've only used it @ home with Blueyonder, but we connect through Smoothwall running on an old PC with a couple of NICs.

Thumbs up

P1, don't rush into buying Xbox Live, PGR2 already comes with 2 months free trial to Live.

I was aware of that. Can I use those two months then extend for another 12 when I buy the live package? Will I be able to keep same tag/name etc?

Why not buy the live pack for 34 quid from play.com and get a years sub with it and of course the headset too.
