PayPal WORM VIRUS .pif?????

what is it.. how do you remove it.

I didn't open the file.. just Ctrl Alt deleted it as soon as it came up that here was a virius attached to the Email.

Scanned system with AVG check.. and it still shows as there.
also done a Ad Ware run too...
another Virus scan still seems to show the PayPal Worm virus
I-Worm/Mimail.j???????

Go to symantecs website, they usualyl have hot fixes available that u can run to clean the system, or at least theyll give instructions on how to remove.

i don't use paypal!!

i've just seached my folders for anything thats PAYPAL
and deleted them perminatly.

Phil, chill!!!

if the virus is a .PIF, and you didn't actually (double-)click on it, then you should be OK. All this is assuming that you received it via e-mail.

Delete the message containing the virus, empty your wastebaskets, then run another virus scan to check that it has been banished.

Mr Boomer.... long time no see

I did a file search for 'paypal' on the pc... and.. there were only three files found.

so i deleted them.

ran the virus test again... nothing then came up.

so think i'm ok.
