Don't know, though

connecting an xbox via network is the only way to get the games onto dvd, youll have to go into the optoin menu and get your xbox ip addy then , youl have to run ipconfig and wait 5 mins for your pc to recognise your xbox then you will only be able to acces you xbox with ftp software , i use flashxp as its the quickest

Hello

If you do not use a router you need a cross-over cable, not a straight Cat 5 cable.

Xbox default IP will be 192.168.0.1 (at least it will if you use EvoX dashboard). I use a crossover cable and FlashFXP to connect to mine.

cat5 is the type of cable crossover just reffers to how it's wired in at each plug iirc the orange and orange/white wires swap to the green and green/white on crossover on a standard pc to hub /switch/router they stay in same positions

Thats what you need mate, a Cat5 crossover cable.

RJ45's are the type of plugs on the ends of the cable
