Whilst it was heavy handed, and the sensible thing to do would be to ask him to remove the pictures, you hardly want someone out to embarass your firm working for you.

He reblogged admitting it was his misjudgement, and the fact that M$ were well within their rights to get rid.
Although I do think its harsh, I wouldn't like employees making fun out of my company (not that I have one )
Hes got a paypal set up now to try and make money out of people feeling sorry for him.....heh.

MS still develop Mac software. It would be a revelation if they didn't use Mac hardware for coding/testing. Yes, I know MS favours it's Wintel alliance image but they're not denying working on Mac products.

ok, so MS does have a point, but, as stated, they could have asked him to remove the offending material, rather than just sack him, that is the extreme bit. As said, not unusual to see Macs at MS.
