Paintshop Pro V7 help
Hi
I am probably doing something stupid, but at present just banging my head against a brick wall.
I am trying to create a simple graphics file. All it has is some text. Font is Ariel, bold, 36p. Text if arguments sake is SCOOBYNET.
I'd like it in grey, and the size of the image to be 800W x 50H, resolution of 300dpi, white background, saved as jpg, no compression. No other frills, just plain text!
The problem I get, all looks fine on screen, save it, close it. Reopen it, and the text is nowhere near as crisp or clean as when it was first saved! (Blurred a bit, grainy etc)
Works ok if I save it as psp file type but not jpg?
I think I have tried all variations when adding text in the dialogue box.
Help me please, before I launch the monitor out of da window.......!
Thanks for any help in advance.

On PSP V6 there is an option that you set to tell it how much compression to use when saving as JPG. You may have this wound up too much, so clarity of image will be poor. Default for mine was about 50% compression, so I wound it up to no compression at all.
Mine is set on OPTIONS button on Save As Dialogue.
Hope this helps.
