Just updated my Win XP professional, now its asking me to log on, even though i have no password set

All i want it to do is start up straight onto my desktop, without the login screen.

Anyone know how to turn the login screen off?

If you got Start | Run and type "control userpasswords2"

This calls up the user accounts dialogue.

At the top of the screen is a tick box, "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" Untick it, and reboot

If you go into the control panel then users you can change the way the pc logs on/off, you want it to be set to the welcome sreen. if you only have the one user account then the pc will log in without a user name or password box.
