What's a " Base system device" likely to be??

Have a question mark in other devices in the device manager over a "base system device".
Got no idea what it could be !

bugger didn't see that

had a look now, ha, not my model...

I have a satellite 2450-201
I have been to tosh's website and looked on thier own driver page for my model, but nothing stands out or resembles the desription to what's in the above links.

well as long as it is not affecting the LAN connection it can stay with an exclamation mark over it then
(having probs with LAN you see (thought it might be something to do with it.)
