To install the Microsoft patch without downloading the service pack. Not my PC but sorting for someone else. Installed Zonealarm and that's keeping the worm at bay (lots of traffic to port 135 being blocked). Got the MS patch but it says it needs the Windows 2000 service pack to install and it's 129mb over a slow dial-up connection - hmmm. Any way round this?

Minimum of W2000 SP2 required to install MS03-26.

Nip down to the local shop and grab a magazine with a cover CD that has SP3 or SP4 on it.

Thanks chaps, managed to get a copy of SP3 from our support bods at work. Should have this sorted soon.
