stoopid hard drives!
why are hdd's so easy to break damnit, panicked somat rotten on saturday! when i booted my pc to hear a chugging noise as it couldnt read the drive!!! i had looooooooads of things ive worked realy hard on on that drive (includin bran new re disign of a website i help run) nightmare! luckily ive got another drive n managed to put windows onto that and backup the stuff from thte other drive and reformat it, somehow some sectors had become corrupted how could this have occured? and now its found n cornered off the bad sectors can i safely use this drive still?
now i gotta bloody reinstall evrythin grrrr, cant wait for the age of no moving parts hdd's!

I personally would not trust it for anything other that data storage again. And I would only store things on it that I would not mind if they got trashed.
I would not use it as a main disk.

I wouldn't risk using it at all.
I just had a very similar experience, hard drive started clicking ans wouldn't read certain sectors etc. I considered using it for data only for a few seconds before trashing it.
Drives are relatively cheap nowadays, so not worth taking the chance IMHO
