Question

I bought a new Epson printer. When the ink ran low last week I bought a four new colour compatible cartridges from 7Dayshop.com
The problem is my printer recognises these as non Epson brand and comes up with a dialogue box saying this is not compatible and may damage your printer do yuo wish to continue yes/no. Having spent money on these compatibles is it safe to use them. Do I need a chip resetter as my friend says I need? I am really stressed about this, I need a coffee.

What model of printer is it? I buy non-Epson cartridges for my Stylus C62 and have no bother at all.

They are trying (successfully it seems) to panic you into buying genuine Epson cartridges, which is, after all, where they make the real money.

And remember that people reckon the dialogue box mis-reports and that there is really 40% ink left.
Do a search there is a wee prog to D/L as a fix.
