Cool

Hi Folks

The tart in me fancies a perpex case as i'm going water cooled soon wanna show it off
What are the plus/minuses to it, i'll probably go for a beantech so wont be building case from scratch.

Cheers for any input

Talking

Saw one in a shop a couple of weeks ago...

had artificial fish, in water, getting thrown about in it by an airtube thingy

Looked good but not sure how safe a waterfilled case would be

Wasn't cheap at £120 either !!!

Nothing beats a classy looking shiny metal case.

I'm sure the completely clear perspex ones are big in the Nova/Corsa Max Power crews - tacky.

I find a small window on the side is about acceptable

Maplins now sell perspex cases, so every one can have one if they've got the money.

Heat dissipation would be my only real worry. And the lack of tidiness of my wiring

I'm sure perspex cases also don't meet full electomagnetic interference regs either. Both in what they put out and what they can withstand.

I..e you may find it works fine until someoen switches on a microwave somewhere and your processer blows up

Seriously, I've no idea how much sheilding you actually need but is something to consider.

Cheers

Ian
