Question

Just a quick question really. I have decided that my laptop does need reinstalling as it has had several bits of crap on it and certain aspects don't work as they should etc etc.

So the question is how do i do a full backup of all my outlook data inc names mail etc before wiping ?

I have tried that poxy backup download from MS but cannot get it to work at all. Is there just one file I need. I don't use Exchange or anything, just as a pim/mail client.

Cheers

Stu

PS the version is Outlook that came with office XP

File - import/export

export file and create a Personal Folder File (.pst)

Instructions are pretty straight forward on Outlook

Worked for me - got a new laptop, and just copied the .pst and .pab (I think) and all my old emails were there.
