Been playing cs 1.6 for about the last week and having great fun getting wupped left right and centre. I love the additions to the game and it looks a lot better in places too. the whole steam interface lets it down .... just another bit of random software that you have to cram onto your pc why oh why when Gamespy work so well :confsed:

steam is a bit slow on first start up but runs fine - cs1.6 is
one fine game
BTW anyone recommend a place which will rent out a cs server and how much a month? My "freebie" server has just been disconnected

 

I think you can hire a server in scoobyshop - £50 a month ??

It will be on a shared machine sitting in a colo rack hooked up on fast ethernet. The ones running linux seem to cope better with multiple servers on one physical box.
