Create a new email account with whatever name you want as the displayed name and email address, then put a valid email address in the reply address field.
When you write a message, select the account to send "from", from the drop-down list.

Using Outlook Express with a single email account.
I want to be able to send some emails as carl@myISP.co.uk and some as mary@myISP.co.uk (made up name)
I have done this before but can't remember how to do it.
