As for you cooling. 3 fans wont do sod all.

maybe decrase the air temps inside, keeping the motherboard cool but for the cpu it wont do a thing.

Ive got a £400 freezer

to overclock, its a case of increasing the FSB speed in stages, so that it can be tested for stability and performance.

Ocne stability starts to decrease(freezes, no boot, random crashed) this is when you need to increase the voltage. It should run a 150Mhz FSB air cooled, but its at your own risk.

Si

i have a 2.66ghz intel 4 at the moment, but due to a cr@p graphics card, and a worse hard drive performance isnt all there. so i was wondering what i would have to do to get this thing overclocked, i dont need to worry about cooling as i have an extra 3 fans in my pc case, so I could move them round, but what programs would i have to use, and where can i get them? o and i have windows Xp if that makes a difference

Overclocking your CPU is never going to make up for an inferior graphics card and hard drive. Get a better graphics card would be my advice. What do you have at present?

ok, so how much of a difference would changing my hard drive to a good one do? would it affect my 3D Mark score? if so by how much? i currently have a Gainward Geforce 4 Mx440 128mb, but i thought the Mx440 was 64mb? but my pc tells me 128? what graphics card would you recomend that isnt too expensive and provides good performance?

Make sure you go for the 9500 PRO as its a lot better card than the standard 9500 and only costs about a tenner more (if that). They are a bit harder to find though. I just bought one from http://www.komplett.co.uk for £141 all in. However it is faulty so Ive sent it back for a replacement. Dont know whether I was just unlucky....
