Cam Memory Card query
#1
Does anyone know if there is a limit on the size of Memory card that a device can take? My Cam came with a whopping 8MB and I have just spotted a 256MB card for £80 which clearly I must buy!
I checked http://www.sandisk.com/tech/comp.asp to see if their big SD or Multimedia card would fit me GR-DV1800 JVC Camcorder (takes OK stills too you know) and they indicate that 64MB is the max. Even confirmed it by phone. My IT guy says it’s bollo# and I don’t see the logic. Any ideas?
Cheers

My old Canon Ixus was only meant to support upto 128MB CompactFlash cards, though I never tried anything bigger (not like you find 256MB cards lying around).
Pop into your local Jessops with your camera, ask to try a 128MB card - if it works, hey presto! If not, buy a 64MB.
