Anyone know a good book for Solaris system administration? I'm starting from not much so I'd like to understand the boot process, setting up user accounts, networking, etc.

I have a box that I want to build from scratch to run Apache and some sort of FTP daemon, perhaps Samba as well.

Was thinking of O'Reilly's System Adminstration (Frisch) and TCP/IP (Hunt). I'll do a search..

Essential System Administration isn't Solaris specific, but it ought to be part of any sysadmins library

Just ordered the two O'Reilly books from Amazon. Had the boot camp one in the shopping cart, but it was on 8 day delivery so I ditched it.

Might put it in with a future order.

Thanks, guys

Boot Camp one is excellent, i would very highly recommend it. I worked on a project with Dominic Butler (co-author) recently and the length and depth of his knowledge and logical thinking was astounding.
