xp "transfer images to your computer"????

i have just got a digital camera and find windows xp has plug and pray for a camera wizard to load up piccies to pc. However i cant seem to see it on my menu.
Anyone any idea what to do to get it working?

Depends on the model, but if you have a USB lead you can sometimes see it as a removable drive in Explorer and then just drag & drop them
