any autocad experts?

Question

Hi could somebody help explain how to export a autocad2000 dwg. file into photshop (bitmap?) or painter classic (riff or tiff file)

Hi Nick thanks for the quick reply, i've had tried that but when i opened up the bitmap the line quality is terrible as a bitmap? how do i get it as sharp and as detailed as in autocad? thanks again

No probs,

Do you have the full version of AutoCAD ie NOT "LT"?
With the full version you need to load up your drawing file.
Click on FILE pull-down menu and select EXPORT
A dialogue box will appear.
in the SAVE AS TYPE will be the default *.wmf format.
Click the pull-down arrow next to it and you will see a *.bmp option.
Click that one, highlight what you want to export off the screen (or just type "all" RETURN and heypresto!
