Talking

It was really mental!! Free for all - fortunately loads of people got trolley's - I didn't. While they were all getting in each others way I nipped through the gaps and got me machine
Funny really - loads went to get the screen and speakers etc first as they were out on pallets, but there was a chap bringing the PC's out 1 by 1. By the time half of them had got the other bits the PC's were gone! LOL - so they put the other stuff back!! LMAO!

Briefly connected it up at lunch so hardly done owt, but its looking good

159 for 15" TFT or 119 for 19" CRT.

Also has a remote control for the DVD/TV/VIDEO/RADIO functions

All parts branded - eg Samsung memory, ATi Graphics, Seagate Disk, Pioneer DVD-R, Sony DVD etc etc

Ok, I've installed 3D Mark, basically done all the upgrades from Windows Update but thats it, other than that its how it comes.
3D Mark overall score was 11809.

Dunno if thats good or bad, but it p*sses over my last PC

Thats still not that good for a 3d mark score. Thought the Medion setup would have got a lot more than that..??.

Anyone else think thats low!..

I reckon that's pretty good for an out of the box score and no optimisation work.

I'd say it was quite good, given the processor and graphics card.

Thing with benchmarks is that they are artificial, drivers can be optimised for them. What you really want to know is does it run everything you want it too well. If so who gives a stuff about benchmarks?????????

Steve,

Absolutely - its just the job for what I want, much better! My old system was soooo naff and PC graphics have moved on soo much! As I said, its basically just powered on with the latest drivers and I ran the software - I suppose as a way to compare if I play around with any settings or add bits etc.

Cheers
Neil

P.S. Old mach was a P3 450(oc to 504), 256 PC100 mem, 11Gb HD, TNT2 lite graphics LOL!!!
