Its a little different to what you want. But Colin McRae II in Arcade mode (ie, race againts others at the same time) can't be beat IMO.

Sega GT is in the same mould as GT3, don't knowwhat it plays like on the Pc though.
If you want a good racing game check out:
Grand Prix Legends
Grand Prix 4
Any of the TOCA series

They are all very good IMO

There all GP / Rally games. I wan't real life street racers with 'real' manufacturers. Guess there's a gap in the market.

As per my post, get the free demo of Live For Speed, most realistic I have ever played, good graphics and superb engine sounds.

I am an avid racing game guru and this made me almost weep.
