Any of you guys used a cordless keyboard and mouse before? As the tangle of wires behind my PC gets more and more knotted up, I'd like to tidy things up a bit. Are they any good? Also, what's the interface between the keyboard and mouse? Is there an infra-red adapter that plugs into the USB or serial port?
Cheers

I have had a cordless Logitech keyboard and mouse for over a year and have had no problems. They use AAA batteries and there is a receiver the size of a cigarette packet which plugs into the PC.
Simple and very effective.

I've got Logitech too - both at work & at home - they work fine.
They come with a box as stated which plugs into the PC - it has 2 USB connectors and 2 adaptors for keyboard & mouse plug.
If you plug them into USB you cannot use them until you're in Windows as the USB drivers are not loaded - so you can't get into the setup screens, or select from multiple operating systems etc.

Another logitech user here, but i would urge you to buy the latest one with recharge-able batteries, my pc is on 24/7 and i go through batteries in the mouse like a pack of four a month!

Mx700 mouse has no latency and in fact surpasses/matches USB for transfer of inputs.
Not sure on the keyboard in terms of 'ninja typing' but pretty sure Puff is talking smack :P

Another Logitech user, ditto the comments about battery drain on the mouse, although still on first set in the keyboard after 9 months.

£40 for just the mouse is quite a lot !
Sorry to hear that it doesn't work - the Logitech ones I've got have no problems.
Is it radio or infra red to the PC - mine are radio so don't need a line of sight.

The Logitech ones are great until you try to use them in an office environment with multiple sets close together...
In which case go for the Cherry set that runs on 2.4Ghz ISM and you manually set the channels with DIP switches.
