I read somewhere that you can speed up your broadband connection by playing about with the " packet scheduler " . Does anyone know about this as I am no computer tech

I had a call from a guy at BT asked if I wanted my broadband access speeded up Told me to go to this site and download the Broadband Network Optimiser. If you are with BT might be worth a try. Has made a difference to my connection speed.

you can play around with the MTU size

there are several utils out there which will make the necessary registry changes, or you can do it manually

other that I wouldnt really bother with any of the other kind of increase your bandwidth progs

My connection is deffo faster. You can test your connecction speed using this utility after running the tweak to speed up your connection
