Recently reinstalled xp but am unable to send mail anymore..

Tried a few different mail programs but can't seem to connect to my smtp server..

when I try and telnet to my server (telnet mail.btinternet.com 25) it says it can't open connection to host..
Also uninstalled my firewall..

Totally baffled.. anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers

Can you ping mail.btinternet.com?

Try doing :

telnet 194.73.73.90 25

(connecting to the mail server by IP rather than FQDN which will check DNS is working)
