Jpeg Thumbs back to full size pics????
#1
Is there any way to change some pics i have as thumbs back to full size????
they are from a digicam and are jpeg files.i deleated the full size images by accident but i have the original thumbs as the digicam saves them to the pc as thumb1 thumb2 etc etc.
i right click on them and they are 4000bytes.
i tried loading them into photoshop but when they enlarge they are all blocky.
Do i need the original full size images or is there a program that could convert thumbs back to full size images???
sorry but im a plumber not a computer whizzkid

it may be worth doing a search of your pc for the originals, as they may not have been completely deleted. did they go into the recycle bin and then the bin then emptied? - if so the pics are still on your hard drive, its just windows doesn't see them anymore.
what software did you use to view the pics?
depending on which operationg system you have ,if you double click a jpeg it opens by default in internet explorer - hence any pictures viewed are saved in the temporary internet files folder,
you never know your luck.
its worth mentioning the actual way the pics were "deleted", as there are programs about that can recover so called "deleted" files.
good luck, post some more details.

scooby nutter - unfortunately jpg's use "lossy compression" which means that they lose image quality when they compress. One of the impacts of this is that you can't increase the size without seeing the blockiness - esp. a problem when the images you have are small.
