Hmm this is an interesting one.
I have seen on another bbs that there are guys that have been running modded Xboxes on the Live service since it started, but have switched (where ones fitted) the modchip off. Voila, that gets round anything Microsoft might do (as long as you aint flashed the TSOP).

druddle - they are in the process of implementing the banning thing - that is why other people are still working.
The only reason why they are banning people with mod chips is due to the fact that a mod-chip user could use a game with a trainer, thus kill everyone and anything in the game - hence ruining the "live" experience.

Solution for having a free Modchip...
I just read a thread at 'teamxbox.com' that i.e. Unreal Championship (maybe ALL Xbox-Live Titles?) does use a Multi-Region code. US-NTSC Unreal Championship works on a European-PAL Console!! YEEEESSS!!!!!
