Recently installed a new hard drive and did a clean install of XP.

Internet explorer has been doing odd things, the worst of which is it's occasional inability to open web pages. I click on a link and instead of it opening the page it comes up with the download window, asking if I want to open, save or cancel. If I try Open it just opens it through a temp directory on my hard drive - any links etc on the page are then unusable.....

Driving me round the bend [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] any ideas other than a fire axe through the PC?
