Can someone help or point me towards a fix for this - I have trawled through Microsoft KB and Technet but haven't stumble on a solution yet.
Win98 machine runs 24/7 and has been working perfectly for ages, then last week decided to run Windows Update to install all the latest/greatest updates etc., including IE6.
Since then the PC hangs about twice per week at 23:59 and only solution is reboot. The BIOS clock is keeping correct time, so when it reboots windows clock is correct.
Any suggestions please? (other than changing the operating system for a "real" one)
TIA

Nope, nothing like that installed, in fact, very little software other than OS, A/V and a few odds 'n' sods.
PC is on a peer-peer network and is used as a file server for Office templates etc. and a depository for backups which are scheduled between 21:00 and 22:00 every night and take a few seconds each.
