Hotmail problem - delivery being delayed

When I send the majority of emails via my hotmail account, a day later I get a notification saying that delivery of the message has been delayed.

Any idea why and how I can stop it?

you cant stop it as hotmail is providing the service to you. maybe their servers are down, etc?
