Are these modems external ones? If so the 3com(USR) or Multitech modems are great IMO.

We use a dedicated Multitech rack terminating on a PRI.

Most external modems will work, however if you want to be 100% sure check the NT HCL.

I used to opt for the Diamond Supra Express 56e, or a US Robotics/3Com one.

I ran US Robotics Couriers on our near and far flung Notes servers for a number of years. Bit more £££ (about £175 ex VAT, last time I looked) but fair make up for it in reliablity and quality. Even in Africa with the telecoms there, the modems were never an issue

I'd vote for Multitech. Not cheap compared to bog standard soft 56k modems but much better quality.

As recommended for desktop fax applications if you can't stretch to a Gammalink card.
