When I came in to work this morning there was a pile of printouts in the printer tray. The first page had "This program cannot run in DOS mode". It then printed out about 20 pages with Smily faces, spades and various symbols.

Could this be a virus

Any Ideas

Cheers

Not true !

It could be the BugBear virus - becuase this also attempts to spread itself through network shares it has been observed to flood network printer queues and also try to print itself out.

Which could be what your seeing.

Thought so

It keeps doing it, When I pulled the printer tray out and whent to the server I was getting the error "There was an error when printing the document "Remote downlevel Document"

Its also sending this stuff to another printer that is attached to a machine but is a shared printer.

It's bugbear. This Utility will get rid of it.
