Network and Kazaaaaaaaa question
#1
OK lads, just set up my new network connection in my flat and have just speed tested it to ....... wait for it....... 2686kbps download, and 1518kbps upload. Bit fast that methinks.
Anyway, why then, am I getting abysmally slow downlaod transfer rates on Kazaa? I can't find anything in Kazaa's menus showing that I am limiting my transfer rates at all.
Thanks
Mike

hi mike,
the download speed of kazaa will depend on how much of their bandwidth each of the users you are downloading from have.
try searching for more users of each file. if you download from more than one user, you will get a faster cummulative download.
check out the expected eta & file download times and the amount of kb each user is letting you have.
hope this helps

Thanks boys, but no, I've discovered what it is. I am on a University network, and Unis have been forced to restrict bandwidth on P2P programmes apparently, due to excessive use.
If anyone knows a way around this, please let me know.
