Anyone hereused MS Autoroute 2002 and a gps device? is it any good for england? is better software out? what gps device shall I use?

already have a laptop, and a car charger for it. so seems the ideal solution.

It should work with any NMEA 2.0 serial GPS device. I've yet to test it with my BTGPS unit but in theory no problem.

Attach the unit, connect in Autoroute & off you go.

Autoroute/Mappoint are pretty accurate. Other options available, such as Infomap or Personal Navigator, but the MS offering is probably the best currently IMHO.

I use it a lot with a Garmin etrex GPS and it works fine. The MS interface is miles better than the software that comes with the gps

ahh i see

I heard that the gps is only updated every 15seconds? anyway to "fix" it so it updates every second like route66?
