Hi
I have just re-installed Windows XP Professional and I have run into a little problem. Before, my computer would shutdown automatically and everything would turn off, but now everything shuts down OK but I now get the message that "I may now switch off my computer" How can I get things back to the way it was???
Cheers

I have the exact same problem as Stubarru, only I'm using Win 98SE. I have looked in Power Management (control panel) with no success. Can anyone help please?

common prob with 98SE...it's summat to do with the way microsoft made it...sh1te!!
what you need is the updates....
www.microsoft.com/windows98/downloads/corporate.asp
download the shutdown supplement and mapped drives shutdown updates.
run both of them when downloaded and restart..should solve your probs
best to save them onto a floppy too so you can use themagain if you need to
