Question

Anybody successfully got these 2 to talk to each other? I want to get an XDA (runs Pocket PC and Outlook) but the company I'm about to start runs Notes for e-mail, diary etc. Naturally, don't want to get left high and dry in terms of connectivity. Are there any decent 3rd party products out there?

Not sure of the respective versions, but I would guess Notes 5 and Outlook 2000.

Cheers

Not 100% sure what you want to do.

We have Notes R5.0.9 on our workstations (for company databases etc.) along with Outlook 2002 (for E-mail and calendars). It all works fine. We just had to set up the Notes Server correctly to forward mail straight to the Exchange server to the Outlook clients.

Hope this helps

Thanks Darren

What you've described is what happens at my current workplace. What I'm after is an application which will enable communication between the Notes client on my desktop and Outlook running on the handheld.

Still not sure what exactly you want to do, I’m thick you see

Do you want to be able to access you Notes E-mail, calender, to do list, meetings etc. on your PDA? Or are you trying to view Lotus Notes databases on your PDA?

All I can suggest is having a look at The Lotus site or Google

Let me know some more details like exactly what you want to do and I might be able to help

Thanks Darren - it's the first scenario you described that I'm interested in.

We use Intellisync - by www.pumatech.com

We use this to sync our Notes mail server into MS Outlook on Pocket PC's eg ipaq's etc....works fine

It uses MS Hotsync as the connectivity and works over the top - so in effect it syncs twice - the two outlooks sync with each other, then Intellisync kicks in and syncs Notes with Outlook.
