Wink

Since I still don't have a PC at home (I am currently using the office one), I will wait for the Xbox version which is now confirmed to come out after the PC-release. The good thing is, that there won't be any difference in the grafic-performance! YYEEESSS!!!

Except that the PC will continue to get faster CPUs and graphics cards and run at screen resolutions and framerates beyond X-Box.

The X-Box version will have one difference though - hardware 3D sound acceleration, which the PC version doesn't have.

I agree Darren, but for the cost of a decent grafic-card I can get a xbox and play it on TV in my comfortable chair!! I know, PC's are always a step ahead of consoles, but game developing studios usually need to create the games in a way that a lot of people can play them (downgrading grafics etc.??). Tell me if I am wrong about this.

You're not wrong. Right now X-BOX is the only console that DoomIII will appear on, and even then work won't start on it, til the PC version is finished.

Yeah Pete, I know what you mean, AND with Win95 and only 16MB of system RAM!

Think thats the DOS version we're looking at. Only runs with emm386. Its amazing what you can squeeze out of 256 colors.
