I have a trust 3 button dual scroll mouse, see here ( dont load framesets)http://www.trust.com/products/product.htm?artnr=11434.

it works fine for about 5 minutes and then the horizontal scrolling function just pacs up, both wheels just scroll up and down. I have the latest drivers. It used to be fine with 98, but now i have W2K it plays up.

any suggestions, it seems a bit odd that it works initially and then stops. i use the horizontal scroll in word and autocad, could this be the problem. it doesent seem to make any odds whether there are other apps running or not it still pacs up after 5.

i am not adverse to buying another mouse, can anyone recommend something similar, it must have the horizontal scroll for working in drawings etc and also the third button ( this is my walk forward in games)

cheers,

mj.

Thumbs up

Check there is nothing stuck near the ends of the wheels. My mouse's horiz scroll went, I opened it up and couldn't see anything.

I smashed it about a bit, hit it etc etc, then opened it up again. There was some fluff hiding near the horiz wheel and stopping it
