Getting well hacked off with MSN.

V4.5.0127 on W2000 with Messenger+ installed.

The action pane keeps turning it's self back on, as does the UK Online 'tab'.

Is it possible to kill these permenantly?

TIA,

Chris.

Same here! Think MSN plus is the answer! I'll try and test it later.

I sent microsoft an email about this and they sent me this reply earlier:

Hello Peter,

Thank you for writing to MSN Messenger about your problem removing the tabs.

We apologize for the delayed response. After carefully reviewing your question, I've determined that you'll need additional technical expertise from the support experts in Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) to resolve the issue. I've forwarded your message to Customer Central in PSS; they will contact you via e-mail shortly and will have additional questions for you.

While our team specializes in resolving issues regarding the user interface, features, and instant messaging services for the MSN Messenger client, the issue you've raised covers technical features of Windows XP's Windows Messenger client, and the PSS team specializes in handling these specific kinds of issues. They are also better equipped to assess your issue and give product improvement feedback directly to the developers who work on that product.

For additional help please go to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PRODOFFERINGS

Sincerely,

Paulo

I got another email after that which was a PSS ticket from their support system so at least they are aware of it and hopefully get it sorted soon because it's annoying the hell out of me.

Ooo, possible solution...

Tools > Options > Privacy and check against "This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs"

We'll see!
