Question

my video card has a tv out socket
The card comes with a small lead which connects from card.
Then there is a very long yellow lead which connects from the small lead to the yellow socket on my tv.

I get a picture ok
However i was wondering is it possible to get sound out of the tv somehow, through the tv out socket.
Is it a case of buying a new lead

You will have to get sound from your soundcard.

Loads of people fall foul of this one! - remember Video Out is EXACTLY what it says - video out - no sound just video.

You have to run a lead from your soundcard out - (usaully speakers out on back of card) to your TV sound IN - or buy a Scart adaptor which converts scart into phono plugs to plug your yellow video & L & R audio into.

I use a doubler on my Speakers out socket to save me having to swap the leads over all the time, and I taped the audio phono leads to the long video lead to keep them all together, and it all ends in a scart socket. I guess my lead is about 10Mtrs long! (I made it myself, I found no-one who sells leads this long)
