Personally I prefer NAI / McAfee, although Norton isn't bad.

The basic VirusScan (NAI) should be around £20 IIRC.

Do you think that the basic virus scan (mcafee) will be alright for cleaning my pc and future home use??
Had a look at the site and i'm gonna buy the online version of the basic virus scan if you guys reckon it'll be ok..
Many thanks

Scooby Snax

what you really mean is that you don't know whether you have a virus.

There could be a nice little SubSeven sitting on your C-drive, doing it's stuff without you being aware

Scooby Snax - I used to think like that until a few months ago when I ran a virus scan and found 6 viruses lurking on my hard disk. They had been received in email attachments. Fortunately none of them had been activated which is the key. Anyone who has any email contacts will receive a virus sooner or later. Last week someone that I'd been in contact with about a motor had an outbreak. Within the space of 3 days I received 10 emails containing the Klez virus.

One thing you can do to make yourself less vulnerable is to avoid M$ software. Not clicking on suspicious looking attachments helps too. I must confess a self interest here because I work for an anti-virus company.
