Default Driver Support?

Something on this laptop called Driver Support.
Running 8.1.

Do I need it? It keeps asking me to do stuff.
Also I suspect it's making my 'puter run slow, because if it tells me I need to install an important update or my 'puter will slow down, lo and behold, it does...for a day or two.

Can safely delete it?

Sounds like one of those crappy things people download that promises to sort driver issues out . . .

Thanks. That's what I thought.

I reckon it installed itself with something else, a bit like free software that makes Yahoo your choice of search engine
